Here's the math on aluminum alone:

We use 4 and 1/2 sheets of 5'x10' .090" 5052 aluminum sheet PLUS over 100' of 1x1" .125" wall 5052 tubing for the pre-welded frame supports Aluminum raw material alone is close to 3 grand —before we add engineering, precision CNC cutting/bending/welding and factory/labor. No wonder we are the only all-aluminum teardrop kit on the market. The magic is in our scale. We already produce kit cars with the same thick aluminum bed material and can bulk buy and cut/form these huge parts.

Bottom line: We are investing in 50 kits to slay the launch. After the launch the base 5x10 will be $7,000+ come spring.
