This is the foundation for the builder who wants total control. We’ve handled the heavy-lifting engineering and complex fabrication, providing you with a high-precision, all-aluminum structural shell that is designed to outlive the chassis it sits on.
 
This "bare bones" configuration provides the raw structural integrity of the Smyth system, leaving the interior layout, exterior openings, and finishing details entirely up to you.

Full aluminum .090 shell
Welded and bonded 1x1" .125 aluminum inner frame
Roof
Full rear hatch (60"x42")
Hinged lower rear wall (for ramp access)
Custom aluminum fenders (included free for pioneer pricing)
Integrated aluminum rain gutters and structural bracing
 
Tailor Your Build
 
Our standard kits come pre-cut for specific windows and doors, but this is your project. If you prefer to design your own window configuration or source your own entry points, we can supply the shell without the CNC-cut openings.

Sourcing: While we recommend specific windows and doors that integrate seamlessly with our design, you are the engineer. For the components we typically use, we have provided links to our preferred hardware here * (links will be live in the next few hours. Logistics
 
Lead Time: 4 months (new orders due in mid-September).
Shipping: A $290 custom invoice will be sent when your kit is ready to ship.

Note: This kit option includes the structural pod components only. You will be responsible for sourcing the base flat-top trailer, flooring, and finishing hardware. We recommend starting with a base trailer similar to those found at Harbor Freight, which offers a reliable platform for a wide range of custom overlanding builds.
